EXCLUSIVE: Emilia Clarke says disability rights campaigners don’t have ‘a full view’ of Me Before You

Emilia Clarke and Jojo Moyes have responded to disability rights campaigners who protested at the premiere for Me Before You, with Emilia admitting that she doesn’t believe they have ‘a full view of what we’re trying to say’.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Emilia, the star of the film, said: ‘What we are particularly showing is one point of view taken from Jojo Moyes’ book… It is hard because when they haven’t seen it, you sort of can’t have a full view of what it is we’re trying to say.’

Anti-euthanasia activists Not Dead Yet branded the romantic comedy, which has been adapted from Jojo’s best-selling book, a ‘disability snuff movie’.
