’13 hours’ John Krasinski calls the lack of diversity in 2016 Oscar nominations ‘a horrible shame’

John Krasinski had the honour of announcing the 2016 Oscar nominations, but the 13 Hours star has now admitted that he sees the lack of diversity as a ‘horrible shame’.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, John said: ‘It makes me uncomfortable that there isn’t more diversity in the nominations, I totally agree, it’s a horrible shame.’

But the former The Office star – who is married to British actress Emily Blunt – revealed that he believes the call for more diversity is ‘bigger than the Oscars, it’s a bigger call to our business in general’.
